Caroline Uridge was born on 16 June 1810 in Hoo Common, Hoo, Kent. She was the daughter of George & Frances Uridge née Lane. She married David Webb on 26 July 1829 in Maidstone. They emigrated on the ship "Woodbridge" in 1838 to Sydney, Australia. Also travelling with them was Caroline's eldest sister Sarah, and David's brother Robert.
