Adeline LIPSCOMB was born in 1847 in Lewes, Sussex.^3,4 She was the daughter of Joseph Andrew LIPSCOMB.² Adeline married Henry URIDGE, daughter of George URIDGE and Sarah Gilbert GARDNER, on 15 October 1873 at Lewes, Sussex.^5,6,7 Adeline died on 23 December 1882 at Lewes, Sussex.^8,9 Adeline was buried on 28 December 1882 at Lewes, Sussex. Age 35 years; Monumental Inscription: Adeline, the beloved wife of Henry URIDGE who died December 23 1882 aged 35 years, also of their children George Harry died December 11 1875 aged 16 months. Frank died December 25 1881, aged 3 years 7 months. John Gardner died March 10th 1882 aged 12 months, also of the above named Henry URIDGE who died at Fowler, California 28.4.1911 aged 60 years.^10,9

Frances was a spinster of full age, living in Kensington. Her father was listed as George LANGRISH, a Gardener.^5,2,6,7 In 1868, at the time of the birth of their son George, Frances and Joshua lived at North Pimilico, London. Joshua was a Coachman, and Frances a Domestic Servant.¹ In the census of 3 April 1881 at St. George Hanover Square, London, she was listed as aged 42 born in Sussex, the wife of Joshua URIDGE; a Coachman living with his wife Frances, and children Ellen, George, William, Charles, Mabel, and Edwin.² Frances died in 1891 at St. George Hanover Square, London.⁸

     Eliza URIDGE was baptized on 5 November 1818 at Chailey, Sussex.^2,1,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Henry URIDGE and Elizabeth SMYTH.¹ Eliza URIDGE witnessed the marriage of Alfred ODEN and Harriet URIDGE on 1 June 1844 at East Chiltington, Sussex.^7,8 Eliza URIDGE witnessed the marriage of Henry URIDGE and Sally EARL on 13 August 1845 at East Chiltington, Sussex.^9,10 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Barcombe, Sussex, she was listed as a dressmaker, the sister of William URIDGE.^11,12 Eliza URIDGE appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at Chailey, Sussex,, living with her brother Philip URIDGE; a Domestic Houskeeper.¹³ Eliza appeared in the census of 2 April 1871 at Chailey, Sussex, Housekeeper, living with brother Philip URIDGE.¹⁴ In the census of 3 April 1881 at Ripe, Sussex, Eliza was listed as the Head of Household; She was a Housekeeper, with a servant Elizabeth TASKER.¹⁵ Eliza died on 3 April 1898 at the Lindfield, Sussex, at the age of 79.^16,17 She was buried on 6 April 1898 at Lindfield, Sussex, M; Monumental Inscription: Eliza URIDGE age 79 years. Spinster housekeeper died April 3 1898 Post Office Lindfield. Grave Number 1316. Buried April 6 1898.¹⁷

The marriage was witnessed by Joseph PLATT and Elizabeth PLATT. She was a spinster of full age residing at 8 George Street. Her father was listed as James SPINKS, a Wheelwright.^2,5,6
In the census of 2 April 1871 at Sydenham, Kent, she was listed as aged 24 born in Colchester, the wife of John URIDGE; a Labourer, living with his wife Sarah and two daughters Ada and Eliza. Also living with them was his mother Sarah, two brothers Frank and Walter, and sister Louisa, together with his brother-in-law Fredrick SPINKS.^7,8 In the census of 3 April 1881 at Lewisham, London, she was listed as aged 34 born in Colchester, the wife of John URIDGE; a General Labourer, living with his wife Sarah, two daughters Ada and Eliza, widowed mother Sarah, and widowed sister Elizabeth HANLEY (probably sister-in-law).^3,1 In the census of 5 April 1891 at Lewisham, London, she was listed as the wife of John T. URIDGE; a labourer, living with his wife Sarah, and two daughters Ada L. and Eliza M. Also living with them was a lodger, Bessie BEST, a dressmaker, aged 20 from Notting Hill, London.⁴
In the census of 31 March 1901 at Lewisham, London, she was listed as the wife of John Thomas URIDGE; a labourer, living with his wife Sarah, and two daughters. Also resident were his neice Minnie and Robert Spinks.⁹ Sarah died on 25 November 1909 at Sydenham, London.^10,11
