Elsie Muriel COLE was born on 25 May 1905 in 17 Huxley Avenue, Cheetham, Lancashire.1,2 She was the daughter of Sydney Francis COLE and Leonora VEASEY.1 Probably in 1920, she was in a family group photograph taken with her parents and four siblings.3 Later in circa 1933 Elsie had a portrait photograph taken of herself. Possibly at the same time her sister Hilda had her photograph taken.4
Elsie married William BARKER, son of William BARKER and Martha BROWN, on 1 September 1933 in St. Mary's Parish Church, Manchester, Lancashire. Witnessed by C. Barker, W. Barker, S.F. Cole, J.W.
