Steven died on 2 February 1996 in Litchfield, Staffordshire. He died of a brain tumour, he had at the stem of the brain, found when he was 25. He had treatment in 1992 but unfortunately they could not remove it all and it came back worse resulting in his death.^2,6,7,8
His death was announced in the Lichfield Mercury, Lichfield, Staffordshire, on 8 February 1996.⁶
