In a document dated c1905, he is referred to as "took 19 Prospect Road and does not share in this estate.¹⁶"
In the census of 2 April 1911 at 36 Achilles Road, West Hampstead, London, Walter was listed as aged 54 born in Sydenham, the Head of Household; a Bath-Chair Proprietor, living with his wife Louisa Jane, and children Richard J., Elizabeth, Henry Vernor, and Frank. Also listed was "Bertir Reynolds", a Carpenter aged 21 born in Sidney [Sydney] Australia.¹⁷ In the census of 2 April 1911 he was at the same address as his son-in-law John George NORTHFIELD, but enumerated as a different household.^18,19 At the time of the death of his son, Harry Vernor in 1916 he lived at 36 Achilles Road, West Hampstead, London; The building was in fact a grocery shop.^20,21

Research Note: His uncle William URIDGE (1815-1890) did not mention him in his will, although most of William's known living nephew and neices were. Perhaps there was a upset in the family prior to 1880, and Frank had ran away and joined the Navy.^9,10
