     John Thomas URIDGE was born in 1849 in Sydenham, Kent.^3,1,4,2 He was the son of Richard URIDGE and Sarah Louisa HALL.^5,6,7 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 5 Dartmouth Road, Lewisham, London, he was listed as aged 2 born in Peckham Surrey, the son of Richard URIDGE.^8,9 In the census of 7 April 1861 at Russell Street, Sydenham, Kent, he was listed as a Labouring Boy aged 12 born in Sydenham, a Labouring Boy the son of Richard URIDGE.⁶ At the time of his marriage John was a bachelor of full age, and lived at 5 George Street, Camberwell Green, Camberwell, London.⁷ John married Sarah SPINKS on 16 March 1869 at Emmanuel Church, Camberwell, London. The marriage was witnessed by Joseph PLATT and Elizabeth PLATT. He was a Labourer a bachelor of full age residing at 5 George Street Camberwell Green. His father was listed as Richard Uridge, a Labourer.^5,7,10 In the census of 2 April 1871 at 17 Fir Street, Sydenham, Kent, he was the next door neighbour of his cousin William John URIDGE; a Labourer, living with his wife Caroline and their children William J., George J., Elizabeth E.¹¹
John was listed as aged 22 born in Sydenham, the Head of Household in the census of 2 April 1871 at 20 Fir Street, Sydenham, Kent, a Labourer, living with his wife Sarah and two daughters Ada and Eliza. Also living with them was his mother Sarah, two brothers Frank and Walter, and sister Louisa, together with his brother-in-law Fredrick SPINKS.^12,11 John was listed as aged 32 born in Sydenham, the Head of Household in the census of 3 April 1881 at 32 Springfield, Lewisham, London, a General Labourer, living with his wife Sarah, two daughters Ada and Eliza, widowed mother Sarah, and widowed sister Elizabeth HANLEY (probably sister-in-law.)^8,3
He was named as a beneficiary in William URIDGE's will made on 20 June 1888.¹³
In the census of 5 April 1891 at 30 Springfield, Lewisham, London, John was listed as the Head of Household; a labourer, living with his wife Sarah, and two daughters Ada L. and Eliza M. Also living with them was a lodger, Bessie BEST, a dressmaker, aged 20 from Notting Hill, London.⁴
John was listed as the Head of Household in the census of 31 March 1901 at 32 Springfield, Lewisham, London, a labourer, living with his wife Sarah, and two daughters. Also resident were his neice Minnie and Robert Spinks.¹⁴

In a document dated c1905, he is referred to as "resides at 22 Springfield, Sydenham, Kent, took 19 Prospect Road and does not share in this estate.¹⁵"

His wife, Sarah, died on 25 November 1909 in 32 Springfield Road, Sydenham, London.^16,17 As of 16 November 1912, John Thomas URIDGE lived at 19 Prospect Road, Wells Road, Sydenham, London, this house was bequeathed to him in his uncle William's will.¹⁸

     Sarah (?) was born in 1732?¹ She was buried on 26 April 1793 at Tonbridge, Kent.²

     Frances Elizabeth URIDGE was baptised on 7 October 1832 at St. James' Church, Isle of Grain, Kent.^2,3 She was the daughter of Philip URIDGE and Sarah BARTON.^1,3 Frances died in infancy and was buried on 6 September 1835 at Hoo St Werburgh, Kent.⁴

Richard URIDGE was born in 1759.² Richard died in 1843 in the Sevenoaks, Kent.³ He was buried on 27 December 1843 at Brasted, Kent.²

     Henry URIDGE was baptised on 11 December 1814 at Brasted, Kent.² He was the son of Richard URIDGE and Elizabeth (?)^3,1
Henry died on 10 February 1853 in Brasted, Kent, at the age of 38.^4,5 He was buried on 12 February 1853 at Brasted, Kent.⁵

     Ellinor EURIDGE was born in 1821.²

Ellinor EURIDGE witnessed the marriage of Joseph WEST and Hannah URIDGE on 14 October 1837 in Cudham, Kent.^4,5,6 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Hall, St Faiths, Spixworth St Faiths, Norfolk, she was listed as a servant of William A.V. KEPPEL, Rector of Hainford. She was aged 28 and born in Brasted, Kent.⁷
