In the census of 30 March 1851 at East Chiltington, Sussex, she was listed as the wife of Alfred ODEN (a Bricklayer & Journeyman.)8,9

     George HOLMAN was born on 26 November 1850 in Lewes, Sussex.2,3 He was the son of Frederick Stedman HOLMAN and Frances PAYNE.4,2,3 George was Accountant in 1877 at Lewes, Sussex.1
George married Adèle Alphonsine URIDGE, daughter of James URIDGE and Adele Victorine GIBBINS, on 6 October 1877 in Chailey, Sussex. In the presence of James URIDGE, Arthur HOLMAN, J.S.H. GIBBINS, Emma HOLMAN, Eliza Victorine URIDGE, Adele V. URIDGE & J.G. CALWAY. This was the first of three marriages of George HOLMAN.5,6,7,8
He became Mayor of Lewes twice for approximately seven years in the early 1900s.9,2
In the census of 3 April 1881 at St. John, Lewes, Sussex, George was listed as the Head of Household; a Clerk in the Newspaper Office For Keeper of County Hall, a widower with two sons, and mother and sister-in-law Eliza V. URIDGE living with him. However his wife Adele A. HOLMAN was visiting her grandmother Louisa V.A. GIBBINS.3
James URIDGE's estate was probated to George HOLMAN on 27 December 1882 in the Lewes, Sussex.10,11
His wife, Adele, died in 1885 in the Lewes registration district.12,7,3,13
George married Clarisse Florentine E. MARCHAND in 1886 in the Lambeth registration district.14,15,16
On 12 May 1892, George lived at 35 High Street, Lewes, Sussex.17
George HOLMAN witnessed the will of Louise Victoire Alphonsine MARCHAND on 12 May 1892.17 In the census of 31 March 1901 at The Rowans, Prince Edwards Road, Lewes, Sussex, George was listed as aged 50 born in Lewes, the Head of Household; the Mayor of Lewes, living with his wife Clarisse F.E., and son Leslie J. Also listed was a Companion Elizabeth S. DEVIN, two and Visitors, Lily M. E. Ormiston, and James P.D.R. Omiston. George & Clarisse had two servants a Cook, and a Housemaid.18
His wife, Clarisse, died in 1912 in the Eltham registration district.19
George died on 25 October 1932 at the age of 81.2
